Synopsys launches AgentEngineer and Autopilot platform

Synopsys announced on September 28, 2026, the launch of its AgentEngineer solutions and the Synopsys Autopilot platform. The tools are designed to automate complex engineering workflows from silicon to systems across verification, implementation, analog design, manufacturing, and simulation.

The company reported that early deployments with industry partners demonstrated verification closure up to 50 times faster, 20% higher coverage, a 30% boost in productivity, double the token efficiency, and reduced latency. Fujitsu noted a 10% to 30% productivity gain in RTL code generation using the platform's verification capabilities.

The platform integrates domain expertise, reusable skills, and persistent memory with open architecture support for third-party models and infrastructure. Synopsys collaborated with companies including AheadComputing, Intel, MediaTek, Nvidia, Samsung Electronics, and TSMC to test and develop the technology across design, memory, and power integrity workflows.

Synopsys stated that more than 50 customer engagements are currently underway. General availability for the AgentEngineer solutions and the Autopilot platform is scheduled for the end of 2026.
