Turkey consumer inflation rises 1.84% in September

The annual inflation rate slows to 29.73% from 31.51% in August 2026.

The Consumer Price Index in Turkey rose 1.84% in September 2026 compared to the previous month. The historical monthly average since 2003 stands at 1.37%. Monthly consumer inflation reached its all-time high of 13.58% in December 2021 and its all-time low of -1.44% in November 2018.

On an annualized basis, Turkey's inflation rate slowed to 29.73% in September 2026, down from 31.51% in August 2026. The reading came in below the historical average of 35.34% recorded since 1965.

The historical extremes for annual inflation in Turkey range from an all-time peak of 138.71% in May 1980 to an all-time trough of -4.01% in June 1968.
