Vale to pay R$ 512.2 million on participating debentures
Holders of the mining company will receive R$ 1.712064114 per debenture on October 1, 2026.
Brazilian mining company Vale S.A. reported that it will pay a total premium of R$ 512.2 million on its participating debentures. The distribution covers the period from January 1 to June 30, 2026, with payment set for September 30, 2026, and financial settlement scheduled for October 1, 2026.
The payout equals R$ 1.712064114 per debenture. Under the deed, the calculation is based on a fixed total of 388,559,056 debentures, with 299,148,666 debentures outstanding after Vale carried out an optional acquisition offer in 2025.
The premium formula is calculated primarily as 1.8% of net revenues from iron ore sales and 1.25% of net revenues from copper concentrate produced at the Sossego mine. For the first half of 2026, net iron ore revenues reached R$ 34.1 billion. Historical records show that annual premiums per debenture reached a peak in 2021 before moderating as commodity cycles shifted.
The most recent analyst rating on Vale stock is a Buy, carrying a price target of $22.00.
