Volaris has increased its focus on the United States market by expanding routes outside Mexico, which offer higher profitability than domestic services. The strategy aims to offset rising jet fuel expenses across the carrier's operations.

The airline, led by CEO Enrique Beltranena, announced that its international traffic rose 14% during the prior month. In contrast, domestic passenger traffic fell 4% over the same period.

Financial services firm Actinver, directed by Luis Hernández Rangel, projected that travel demand will moderate in October before recovering in November and December. The brokerage noted that the trajectory of this recovery will depend on relations between Mexico and the United States.
