Spotify launches enterprise hub to sell its software
The new site offers internal developer tools built for its 777 million monthly active users.
Spotify launched technology.spotify.com on Thursday, October 8, 2026. The new portal makes the company's internal tech and developer tools available to outside businesses as it formalizes its enterprise software operations.
The company has offered developer products since 2020, when it open-sourced Backstage, a framework for building developer portals. Spotify later began selling Confidence, an enterprise experimentation platform, in 2023, and Portal, an enterprise software development platform, in 2024. Earlier this year, it started selling Xirp, a developer tool designed to manage artificial intelligence coding agents.
The new website gathers tools created to serve Spotify's audience of 777 million monthly active users, featuring both open-source and paid options. Tyson Singer, Spotify's SVP of Technology & Platform, explained on the company's engineering site that hundreds of internal squads build code daily behind the consumer streaming app. He noted that while artificial intelligence accelerates development, operational complexity and costs grow alongside it.
Spotify has not disclosed revenue figures for its enterprise software sales in its financial reports. The new website does not list pricing, directing interested companies to submit a contact form to reach sales representatives.
