Airbnb announced on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, new artificial intelligence tools designed for trip planning, recommendation sharing among contacts, and additional home services. The updates will roll out first in the United States to simplify travel stages and expand platform offerings.

The platform added an interactive map where users can view where friends and family have traveled, review their past lodgings, and check future destinations while controlling privacy settings. Users can also search for stays, experiences, and services using AI keyword search and interest-based filters.

Airbnb is introducing food delivery in select European cities and expanding its grocery delivery service to Europe. In the United States, it will offer laundry services in certain cities and, starting in November, rentals for cribs, strollers, high chairs, and toys across more than 60 cities through a partnership with BabyQuip. For hosts, new tools allow simultaneous management of multiple listings and automated price adjustments based on supply and demand.

In the second quarter of 2026, Airbnb reported revenue of $3.6 billion, up 17% year over year, and net income of $816 million, an increase of 27% compared to the same period in 2025. Shares traded at $158.83, more than 25% above their level at the end of March.
