Synopsys presented its long-term financial model on September 30, 2026, during its Investor Day in New York. The engineering software maker expects revenue for fiscal year 2027 to reach approximately $11.15 billion at the midpoint of its guidance range, representing year-over-year growth of about 15%.

The company also established a multi-year financial framework covering fiscal 2026 through fiscal 2030. Synopsys expects to return up to 50% of its free cash flow to shareholders through share repurchases after business investments. Over the coming months, the company intends to repurchase approximately $1 billion in shares, subject to market conditions.

Alongside its updated financial targets, President and CEO Sassine Ghazi announced a preferred partnership with OpenAI to build and deliver GPT-Synopsys, a specialized artificial intelligence model designed for chip development. Synopsys also revealed an intellectual property agreement with Amazon as part of its application-optimized IP expansion for custom silicon.

CFO Shelagh Glaser stated that the updated targets demonstrate management's confidence in the company's growth trajectory, expanding margins, and long-term free cash flow generation.
