Amazon partners with eDreams ODIGEO to add travel to Alexa+
Users will search and book flights, hotels, and car rentals using voice on Alexa-enabled devices.
Amazon is partnering with travel subscription platform eDreams ODIGEO to power travel discovery and booking on its next-generation artificial intelligence assistant, Alexa+. The companies announced the collaboration on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
The integration allows customers to find and book flights, hotels, and car rentals through natural language voice commands on Alexa-enabled devices. The system relies on the Model Context Protocol, an open standard that connects AI models securely to external platforms. Alexa+ will tap into eDreams ODIGEO's proprietary protocol network to surface travel options directly within conversational queries.
The alliance follows the Alexa Plus Partner summit held in Seattle in July 2026 to explore agentic AI experiences. While Amazon adds travel booking capabilities to its voice assistant, eDreams ODIGEO will handle supplier integrations, IATA licensing, financial guarantees, and customer support as it targets 13 million subscribers by March 2030.
