Alphabet's Google announced a major clean energy partnership with Constellation Energy on October 6, 2026. The deal secures 3,590 MW of total electricity capacity to power data centers and artificial intelligence infrastructure. Constellation Energy plans to invest 4.3 billion dollars to modernize its nuclear fleet as part of the agreement.

The transaction includes a 20-year power purchase agreement for 890 MW of new nuclear generation capacity created through reactor uprates. In addition, Google signed a 15-year supply agreement for 2,700 MW from Constellation's existing operational nuclear fleet.

Constellation will upgrade 11 nuclear reactor units located across six plant sites. Commercial deliveries of the expanded capacity will start in 2028, with all planned additions scheduled for completion by 2032. The project will preserve 4,400 existing jobs and create 7,200 jobs during construction and execution.

Alongside the electricity supply, Google Cloud and Constellation established a five-year technology alliance. Shares of Constellation Energy jumped 12.3% on the day of the announcement following the release of the pact.
