América Móvil's Claro teams up with Grupo Aval on Claro Pay

Claro Colombia, a subsidiary of América Móvil, announced a partnership with financial conglomerate Grupo Aval to relaunch its digital wallet, Claro Pay. Rodrigo de Gusmao, president of Claro Colombia, presented the initiative on September 24 at the Claro Tech Summit 2026.

The revamped platform aims to expand access to digital financial services in Colombia. Users will be able to buy differentiated prepaid mobile packages, pay bills with cashback, and send instant transfers through the Bre-B system directly from their mobile phones.

Grupo Aval provides its Banking as a Service platform through dale!, which manages the regulatory, transactional, and technical infrastructure. The system also gives users access to a network of more than 25,000 physical points across Colombia for cash deposits and withdrawals.

According to María Lorena Gutiérrez, president of Grupo Aval, the collaboration combines Claro's telecommunications reach with the digital banking capabilities of dale! to simplify everyday money management.
