Anthropic agrees to 20-year lease for 401 MW data campus

Artificial intelligence developer Anthropic has secured a 20-year lease for approximately 401 MW of capacity at the Justified campus in Kentucky.

The long-term agreement locks in substantial power capacity as Kentucky state regulators approved electric service for up to 482 MW at the site. The site is part of ongoing infrastructure development where capital expenditure guidance ranges between 10 million and 12 million dollars per MW.

For data centre operator TeraWulf, shares rose 6.2% following the agreement. The company reported 31.9 million dollars in second-quarter high-performance computing lease revenue, continues construction of 336 MW at its Lake Mariner site, and recently completed 900.6 million dollars in equity raises.
