Anthropic tests Claude Money to connect AI with bank accounts
The personal finance tool analyzes spending and provides investment guidance.
Anthropic is testing a new feature that connects its Claude chatbot directly to bank accounts. The tool is designed to analyze personal finances, answer questions about recent spending, and offer guidance on investments.
The feature, named Claude Money, was discovered by testing portal TestingCatalog on September 14, according to a report by Estadão citing TestingCatalog and BleepingComputer. It is aimed at users who already share bank statements and invoices with artificial intelligence systems to manage their accounts.
Within the iOS app, the personal finance tool appears under the side menu option labeled Money, located directly below Chats. Opening that section presents a page that reads: Understand your finances with Claude.
The move follows OpenAI launching ChatGPT Finanças in May through an integration with the Plaid platform, which supports thousands of US financial institutions.
