The company will submit for authorization in July 2028 and plans air-gapped deployments for government clients.
Atlassian Corporation announced on September 23, 2026, that it is accelerating its timeline for Impact Level 5 (IL5) authorization. The company will now submit its application in July 2028, six months ahead of its previous schedule, followed by a FedRAMP High submission in January 2029.
The company is also developing a fully disconnected, air-gapped cloud deployment for workloads requiring strict network isolation, such as IL6 and above. Atlassian is collaborating on technical design with strategic US government clients and working with European cloud infrastructure providers to address regional data sovereignty requirements.
The initiative comes ahead of the end-of-life date for Atlassian's Data Center products on March 28, 2029. The public sector push is led by Global Head of Public Sector Jen Beatley, Chief Technology Officer Vikram Rao, and Chief Product Officer Ken Exner.
