Pratt & Whitney Canada will service PW127M turboprop engines in Singapore through 2030.
Pratt & Whitney Canada, an RTX business, signed a four-year maintenance, repair and overhaul agreement with AirBorneo Airways. The contract covers the PW127M engines powering the airline's ATR 72-500 regional turboprops through 2030.
AirBorneo operates the aircraft on the Rural Air Services network in East Malaysia. Maintenance work will take place primarily at Pratt & Whitney Canada's facility in Singapore, which recently expanded its turboprop maintenance capabilities for the Asia-Pacific region.
The PW127M belongs to the PW100 engine family, which has logged over 200 million flight hours across more than 40 years of service. AirBorneo was formed in January 2026 after transitioning from MASWings. The airline also has eight ATR-600 aircraft on order powered by Pratt & Whitney PW127XT series engines.
RTX is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, and employs more than 180,000 people globally. The aerospace and defense company reported sales of more than $88 billion for 2025.
