Mainland Chinese investors gain direct access to trading Baidu's Hong Kong-listed Class A shares.
Baidu announced that its Class A ordinary shares traded on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited joined the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect program, effective September 7, 2026, Beijing time. A previously announced inclusion in the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect program also took effect on the same date.
The addition follows an adjustment announcement issued by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on September 7, 2026. Through both mechanisms, eligible investors in the Chinese Mainland now have direct trading access to Baidu's Class A ordinary shares via local brokers.
Baidu expects the dual inclusion to expand its reach among mainland investors, diversify its investor base, and enhance share liquidity. The company noted that one Baidu American depositary share represents eight Class A ordinary shares.
