Bank of America announced on Sept. 29, 2026, that Brazilian private-sector bank Bradesco completed the first pilot transaction using Bank of America's Cross-Border Real-Time Payments solution. The transfer began through Bradesco's existing Swift connectivity and was delivered in Hong Kong dollars to a local beneficiary through Hong Kong's Faster Payment System (FPS).

The cross-border payments product was initially announced in June 2026 and targets high-volume, low-value transactions. It offers real-time tracking, full-principal delivery, and payment certainty, with future access planned through Bank of America's CashPro digital platform for institutional and corporate clients.

Alongside this initiative, Bank of America and Bradesco are piloting another payment route into the United States through Swift. That project aims to improve speed, predictability, and transparency for consumer and small-business cross-border transfers.
