Bradesco raises BRL 9.72 billion in its capital increase
The Brazilian lender completes the second phase and schedules a final auction on B3 for Friday.
Banco Bradesco announced that the first subscription period for leftover shares in its capital increase has concluded. The bank sold 48,711,930 common shares and 137,610,535 preferred shares in this second phase, raising BRL 3.179 billion.
The common shares were sold at BRL 15.43 each, while the preferred shares priced at BRL 17.64. Following the BRL 6.541 billion collected in the initial phase, Bradesco has secured a total of BRL 9.720 billion.
A remaining 1,505,454 common shares and 14,553,057 preferred shares will go to an auction on B3 on Friday, October 2, at 10:30. Based on the issue price, that auction could raise up to BRL 280 million. The unsold volume represents 2.65% of the shares issued in the transaction, comprising 0.50% of the common shares and 4.82% of the preferred shares.
Controlling shareholders Cidade de Deus, NCF, and Fundação Bradesco had previously committed to inject up to BRL 8 billion. Bradesco stated that the capital increase will support its strategic investments, funding commercial efficiency, technology initiatives, business expansion, and sustainable financing commitments.
