BlackRock buys 5.005% stake in Copasa
The manager holds 19.03 million common shares and financial derivatives.
Copasa announced on October 8, 2026, that it received notice from BlackRock regarding the acquisition of a relevant equity stake in the company.
According to the filing, the asset manager raised its position on October 6, 2026, to 19.03 million common shares. This stake represents approximately 5.005% of Copasa's share capital.
BlackRock also reported holding 71,001 cash-settled derivative financial instruments referenced to common shares of the company. That position represents about 0.019% of the total common shares issued by Copasa.
The manager stated that the goal of the investment is strictly financial. It does not intend to change the shareholder control or the administrative structure of the company. BlackRock also confirmed that it has not entered into any agreements regulating voting rights or the trading of company securities.
