Ternium marks 20 years on NYSE with $4B expansion
The steelmaker targets low-emission output by 2027 as shares gain 47.8% in 2026.
Ternium celebrated 20 years of trading on the New York Stock Exchange on October 8, 2026. CEO Máximo Vedoya led the traditional bell-ringing ceremony to commemorate the company's 2006 debut as a public entity.
The anniversary coincides with the third phase of expansion at Ternium's industrial center in Pesquería, Nuevo León. The project involves a $4 billion investment and includes a new steel mill capable of producing 2.6 million tons of low-emission steel. Operations are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027.
Ternium shares have climbed 47.8% so far in 2026, rising from $38.19 to $56.47 per share. According to Bloomberg data, eight of the 13 analysts covering the steelmaker recommend Buy and five recommend Hold. The consensus 12-month average price target stands at $59.08, representing a potential upside of 4.6%, while the highest target reaches $78 per share, implying an upside of 38.1%.
Since 2006, Ternium has expanded to more than 33,000 employees and 20 production facilities across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, and the United States. Its operations also include six mining sites and a distribution network serving sectors such as automotive, construction, home appliances, energy, and capital goods.
