BrasilAgro holds BRL 165 million in debentures due in 2030
Oliveira Trust confirms covenants were met despite missing collateral updates
BrasilAgro maintains BRL 165 million in debentures issued to finance irrigation projects, with final maturity scheduled for November 11, 2030. The securities carry a fixed interest rate of 12.16% per year. Principal amortization will begin in annual installments starting November 11, 2027, according to an annual report for fiscal 2025-2026 by trustee Oliveira Trust.
The issuance was completed on November 16, 2023, comprising 165,000 debentures with a par value of BRL 1,000 each. The proceeds were entirely allocated to reimburse expenses and fund the execution of irrigation initiatives. All 165,000 debentures remained in circulation as of June 30, 2026, with no redemptions, cancellations, or conversions, and no statutory amendments took place during the fiscal period.
The operation is backed by company properties located in Coribe, in the state of Bahia. A September 2025 appraisal valued the properties at BRL 425.5 million, exceeding the contractual requirement of 150% of the nominal debt balance. However, Oliveira Trust noted it had not received mandatory updated information on the collateral before closing the report, cautioning that real estate fluctuations mean it cannot guarantee the guarantee remains sufficient.
BrasilAgro remained compliant with its covenant limiting net debt to the value of owned land to a maximum of 30%. The ratio stood at 22.16% in June 2026, up from 17.08% in June 2025. Annual interest payments included BRL 120.58 per debenture disbursed on November 10, 2025, with no principal amortization occurring during the reviewed fiscal year.
