Camil net profit drops 47.5% to R$ 41 million in Q2 2026
Net revenue fell 7.2% to R$ 2.765 billion for the quarter ending in August 2026.

Camil Alimentos reported a net profit of R$ 41 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2026, which covers June to August 2026. The result represents a 47.5% drop compared with the same period a year earlier. The net margin decreased from 2.6% to 1.5%. Camil follows a fiscal calendar that begins in March and concludes in February.
Net revenue reached R$ 2.765 billion, down 7.2% year-on-year, though it rose 3.6% compared with the first quarter of 2026. EBITDA fell 10.1% year-on-year to R$ 225.3 million, with an EBITDA margin of 8.2%, down 0.3 percentage points. On a quarterly basis, EBITDA rose 7.3%. Gross profit increased 1.2% to R$ 681.9 million as the cost of goods sold declined 9.7%, lifting the gross margin by 2.1 percentage points to 24.7%. However, selling, general and administrative expenses climbed to 19.6% of net revenue, up from 16.7% a year earlier.
In Brazil, the high-value division covering pasta, cookies, coffee and fish expanded volume by 14.1% to 51.6 thousand tons, with the net price per kilogram rising 20% to R$ 18.75. In contrast, the high-turnover division of grains and sugar saw domestic volume drop 4.6% to 335.9 thousand tons, while its net price increased 10% to R$ 3.89 per kilogram. International operations in Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Paraguay recorded an 8.3% drop in sales volume to 217.1 thousand tons, with net price sliding 18.3% to R$ 3.15 per kilogram.
Camil closed August 2026 with net debt of R$ 4.083 billion, down 3.1% from May but up 17.8% from August 2025. Financial leverage stood at 4.7 times net debt to trailing 12-month EBITDA, flat against the previous quarter and above the 4.1 times posted a year earlier. Working capital totalled R$ 2.867 billion, down 4.8% quarter-on-quarter, reflecting normal seasonality in rice operations.
