Bancolombia provided 46.6% of the financing for energy company Altia to acquire a renewable generation portfolio from Isagen. Altia closed the deal alongside Bancolombia and five other financial institutions through a project finance structure totaling COP 1.29 trillion.

The transaction incorporates 219 MW of renewable capacity into Altia's generation assets across Colombia. The portfolio includes four run-of-river hydroelectric plants representing 119 MW of installed capacity: the Amoyá plant in Chaparral, Tolima, along with the Barroso plant in Salgar and the Guanaquitas plant between Santa Rosa de Osos and Gómez Plata, both in Antioquia.

The deal also includes the Bosques Solares de Bolívar 1-5 solar complex in Sabanalarga, Atlántico, which adds 100 MW of solar power generation capacity.

This transaction allows renewable assets to continue contributing to the country's growth and demonstrates that, when we connect investment with opportunities, we advance toward a more resilient economy prepared for the future.
