The bottler expands plants and distribution while advancing local environmental goals.
Coca-Cola FEMSA Colombia, a subsidiary of Mexican beverage and retail group FEMSA, has invested about $500 million to expand its industrial footprint and develop sustainability projects across Colombia. The capital expenditure has funded plant expansions, distribution centers, and community programs.
Andrés Torres, president of Coca-Cola FEMSA Colombia, stated that the company seeks to align business expansion with community welfare and environmental protection. On the environmental side, the company reported the planting of more than 100,000 trees and the protection of 1,590 hectares of high-Andean and paramo ecosystems under its Agua por el Futuro program, including 220 hectares added in 2025.
The bottler also maintains emergency water assistance through a mobile water purification vehicle active since 2010. Through its Cinta Violeta workplace inclusion initiative, Coca-Cola FEMSA Colombia has hired more than 700 women in operational roles traditionally held by men.
