Copasa lifts water volume by 1.1% in the third quarter
Sewage volume rose 3.6% to 123.8 million cubic meters as billing units expanded.

Copasa reported a 1.1% year-over-year increase in measured water volume for the third quarter of 2026, reaching 174.5 million cubic meters. Consolidated sewage volume expanded 3.6% to 123.8 million cubic meters over the same period, according to an operational preview released on October 9, 2026.
The company also expanded its customer base across both services. Water billing units grew 1.5% from a year earlier to 5,844 thousand units, supported by 4,848 thousand total water connections, which also rose 1.5% year over year.
In sewage services, billing units reached 4,347 thousand units, up 2.5% compared to the prior-year period. Total sewage connections increased 1.8% to 3,372 thousand units.
The average consumption billing period was 92.2 days during the quarter, a 0.2% increase compared to 92.1 days recorded in the third quarter of 2025.
