Dell Technologies announced on October 6, 2026, that it is expanding the Dell AI Data Platform. The system introduces new orchestration, storage, and processing features designed to provide artificial intelligence agents with structured corporate context while cutting operational compute costs.

The platform introduces three core components planned for release in the first half of 2027: the Unified Semantic Layer, the Enterprise Knowledge Graph, and Knowledge Agents. The Unified Semantic Layer standardizes business terms and integrates Nvidia Auto-Ontology, while the Knowledge Graph maps relationships across structured and unstructured files. The Knowledge Agents operate as specialized advisers using Nvidia Nemotron Retriever models for reasoning and visual understanding within customer-defined spending and data limits.

On data processing, Dell integrated Nvidia cuDF on Nvidia RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs into the Dell Data Processing Engine. Dell reported from September 2026 tests on a Dell PowerEdge R770 that the setup processed data nearly 4 times faster on average, or 3.9 times, than CPUs alone, and reached a 20.4 times peak speedup on batch processing workloads. The initial acceleration stack arrives in December 2026, followed by further Apache Arrow acceleration in the first half of 2027.

Storage updates include an upgrade to Dell PowerScale arriving in November 2026, which expands support up to 500 tenants in a single cluster with mTLS encryption over NFS. Meanwhile, the Dell Storage Performance Tool and new AI-ready implementation services are available immediately.
