Delta adds Europe routes from Detroit and Boston
The airline launches nonstop flights to Athens and Venice as transatlantic travel demand grows.
Delta Air Lines expanded its European network by launching new nonstop routes from Detroit to Athens, Boston to Venice, and Austin to Paris. The additions broaden the carrier's reach beyond its traditional European hubs to meet rising transatlantic demand.
The route from Detroit connects travelers to more than 40 destinations across the United States. In Boston, Delta is adding the Venice flights and increasing its service to Milan to daily flights using wide-body aircraft.
The airline is also extending several seasonal services earlier into spring or later into fall and winter, providing more travel options outside the summer peak.
Shares of Delta have gained 24.3% over the past six months, outperforming the airline industry's 2.5% increase over the same period.
