The new tool helps advertisers track shelf inventory, shopper substitutions, and catalog content.
DoorDash introduced Brand Center on September 23, 2026, expanding its advertising portal into a platform that tracks inventory, shopper substitutions, and catalog management across physical and digital retail shelves.
The platform combines purchase data from consumer orders with more than 1 million daily in-store shelf signals captured by couriers and analyzed using artificial intelligence. DoorDash noted that inventory distortion from out-of-stocks and overstocks costs the global retail industry an estimated $1.7 trillion each year. The company's internal data from the first half of 2026 showed that when an intended item is unavailable, nearly 12% of shoppers choose a competing product, while more than 40% request a refund.
Brand Center also includes Merchandising Tasks, which allows eligible brands to request in-store support from couriers for shelf audits, restocking, item counts, and promotional displays. In addition, a Catalog Editor gives brands control over product images, descriptions, and categories across retail partners such as SKIMS, Gap, and Kohl's.
DoorDash operates across more than 200,000 retail and grocery stores as of the fourth quarter of 2025 and works with over 9 million couriers across its DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo marketplaces. Brand Center is now available to all advertisers in the United States, with select features limited to eligible accounts.
