FEMSA's OXXO enables 24/7 Infonavit mortgage payments

The Instituto del Fondo Nacional de la Vivienda para los Trabajadores (Infonavit) and convenience store chain OXXO, owned by FEMSA, have formed an alliance across Mexico. The agreement allows borrowers with active housing credits to make their loan payments 24 hours a day, seven days a week at OXXO stores.

The service carries no commission fees for borrowers. Users can make payments of up to 10,000 Mexican pesos per transaction without relying on traditional banking hours.

To complete a payment, customers only need to provide their 10-digit credit number as the reference at the checkout counter.

FEMSA stated that the partnership strengthens Mexico's housing credit payment infrastructure by leveraging OXXO's national reach alongside Infonavit's services.
