The retail chain will enable cash deposits for digital banking users alongside Farmatodo.
Nu Colombia announced a partnership with Oxxo, the convenience store chain operated by FEMSA, to facilitate cash deposits for its digital banking customers. The financial institution also added drugstore chain Farmatodo to the initiative.
Marcela Torres, general manager of Nu Colombia, explained that the alliance aims to expand physical locations for cash services. According to Torres, users had requested easier ways to deposit cash into their digital accounts, as cash continues to be part of everyday transactions.
The Oxxo agreement expands Nu Colombia's physical service network across the country. On September 9, 2026, the digital bank began rolling out a cash withdrawal feature across approximately 2,800 D1 stores in 28 departments and 540 municipalities, allowing QR-code withdrawals of up to COP 700,000 per transaction without a physical card.
