Colombia's Council of State dismissed an appeal by former appointee Jorge Andrés Carrillo.
Grupo ISA will proceed with its leadership succession after a key legal challenge failed in court. On 9 September 2026, Colombia's Council of State declared inadmissible a constitutional appeal filed by Jorge Andrés Carrillo against the annulment of his appointment as company president.
Carrillo had sought to overturn the prior annulment under case file number 11001-03-15-000-2026-02899-00. The court rejected the action after concluding that it lacked constitutional relevance.
The dispute traces back to an appointment made under board minute number 918 on 15 August 2024. The Council of State previously nullified that election on 26 February 2026 under case file number 11001-03-28-000-2024-00194-00.
The latest court ruling confirms the continuity of Grupo ISA's selection process to choose a new president.
