ISA plans to invest over $1.3B in Peru power lines
The utility met with Peru's energy ministry to present its transmission expansion pipeline.
ISA Energía plans to invest more than $1.3 billion in Peru to expand electricity transmission infrastructure, the company told government officials on October 2, 2026.
The meeting included Energy and Mines Minister Guillermo Shinno, Vice Minister of Electricity Luis Santillán, and representatives from ISA Energía led by General Manager Brenda Rodríguez.
The planned expansion includes more than 1,400 kilometres of new transmission lines, 6 new substations, and 20 expansion projects. Minister Shinno highlighted that the capital deployment will strengthen energy infrastructure and the reliability of Peru's national grid, the SEIN, to support future demand and economic growth.
ISA Energía reported that it operates across 21 regions in Peru with more than 12,000 kilometres of transmission lines, maintaining a leading position in the country's power transmission market.
