John Deere partners with Yamaha on side-by-side vehicles
The manufacturers will pair Yamaha powertrains with John Deere's U.S. manufacturing capabilities.
Deere & Company and Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA announced an agreement on October 6, 2026, to collaborate on the development of future Side-by-Side (SxS) vehicles.
The partnership will pair Yamaha's powertrain and vehicle design expertise with John Deere's vehicle development, U.S. manufacturing capabilities, and customer insights. Both companies aim to build off-road utility vehicles designed to meet evolving customer needs.
Jon Chase, Vice President of John Deere Turf and Compact Utility Business Unit, stated that the collaboration will enable the businesses to develop differentiated products. Dean Burnett, Yamaha Motorsports President, added that the alliance will accelerate innovation across both dealer networks.
Both Yamaha Motor and John Deere will retain their respective brands, dealer networks, sales channels, and customer relationships. Details about specific upcoming vehicle models will be announced at a later date.
