The healthcare giant secured European regulatory clearance for its reusable ACUVUE OASYS MAX 2-Week contact lenses.
Johnson & Johnson announced on September 10, 2026, that it received CE Marking for ACUVUE OASYS MAX 2-Week, a new reusable contact lens. The clearance allows the company to begin rolling out the product in select European countries later this year, with broader market expansion planned across 2027 and 2028.
The company reported that 140 million people worldwide wear contact lenses, with one in two users choosing reusable options. The new lens integrates TearStable Technology for moisture, Class 1 UV blocking, and an OptiBlue Light Filter that blocks at least 60% of blue-violet light.

In clinical testing cited by the manufacturer, 99% of patients wearing previous ACUVUE OASYS 2-Week lenses were successfully refit into the new version with the same power, base curve, and diameter. The product is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and is currently not available for sale in the United States.
