Lockheed Martin awards Boeing $14.7B PAC-3 seeker contract
The seven-year agreement will triple production of PAC-3 MSE missile seekers.
Lockheed Martin awarded Boeing an undefinitized contract action valued at approximately $14.7 billion to scale production and deliver PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) seekers. The announcement was made on October 5, 2026.
The award formalizes a seven-year framework agreement to triple PAC-3 MSE seeker production. The deal supports the U.S. Department of War Acquisition Transformation Strategy and aims to bolster the nation's defense arsenal.
The Boeing-built seekers allow advanced Patriot interceptors to identify, track, and engage hostile aircraft, hypersonic weapons, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles. Boeing began ramp-up efforts and hiring earlier in 2026, and the project is expected to create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs in Huntsville, Alabama.
