Mastercard integrates Agent Pay into Alchemy's AgentCard

On 17 September 2026, Alchemy announced that its AgentCard product will support Mastercard payment credentials through an integration with Mastercard Agent Pay. The tool gives developers a way to build artificial intelligence agents that can complete online purchases on behalf of users anywhere Mastercard is accepted online.

Under the integration, AI agents can transact using one-time-use, tokenized Mastercard credentials tied to a user's existing card. This structure preserves credit lines, card benefits and existing rewards without requiring consumers to open new accounts. Users and card issuers can set specific controls, including purchase limits, allowable merchant categories and transaction locations.

AgentCard also supports Verifiable Intent, Mastercard's framework designed to confirm that an automated agent operated strictly within instructions authorized by the user. Alongside the card credentials, developers can equip an agent in under a minute via a single command-line interface with an email address, phone number and a stablecoin wallet.
