Partnerships with Stripe, Expedia, and Instacart enable automated checkouts as downloads reach 2.5 million.
Meta expanded its Muse AI ecosystem into autonomous commerce during Meta Connect 2026. The new Muse Spark multimodal model functions as an automated purchasing agent, operating on payment and settlement infrastructure built across the digital finance sector.
Meta confirmed integrations with PayPal, Shopify, and Stripe. Muse personal AI agents can search Shopify product catalogs and complete checkouts directly in-app, while PayPal enables purchases across its worldwide merchant network. Stripe is backing the WebMCP standard for agent spending alongside Shop Pay and Link wallet connections. Expedia and Instacart also joined as partner platforms, while Amazon blocked Muse from accessing its site.
The tool uses Muse computer-use technology running in Muse Secure VM, an isolated cloud Linux virtual machine that controls web browsers and interacts with native macOS applications like Mail, Files, and Calendar. Alongside the software, Meta introduced its Luna camera-free smart glasses with six microphones, open-ear speakers, and a dedicated AI button. Muse reached 2.5 million US downloads as of September 20, 2026, ahead of the January 18, 2027 GENIUS Act regulatory deadline.
