The bank partnered with OpenAI to develop ChatGPT for Financial Services.
Morgan Stanley partnered with OpenAI and Evercore to design ChatGPT for Financial Services, a dedicated tool launched to support industry teams with research, financial models, and customized client materials.
Morgan Stanley and Evercore noted that reliable data access and high-quality document creation were the primary challenges facing their teams. The new platform addresses this by combining financial data with the reasoning capabilities of GPT-6 Astra, with plans to integrate future models as they launch.
The platform comes preloaded with native access to market providers including Daloopa, PitchBook, LSEG News, and Crunchbase. These feeds cover earnings transcripts, financial statements, company fundamentals, and private market data without requiring custom technical integrations.
OpenAI stated that the system indexes and hosts this data to provide detailed citations so bankers can trace figures back to primary sources. The software also uses enterprise security standards, ensuring commercial company data is not used to train models by default.
