Brazilian state-controlled oil producer Petrobras implemented fresh wholesale price increases for aviation kerosene effective October 1, 2026. The price adjustments apply to fuel sales delivered to wholesale distributors across the country.

According to the company's published pricing schedule, wholesale jet fuel prices rose 12.0% at the Duque de Caxias distribution hub in Rio de Janeiro. Prices increased 11.6% at the Guarulhos hub in São Paulo and 11.6% at the Betim hub in Minas Gerais.

The October increase follows an average month-over-month price hike of 13.9% in September, which added an average of 0.68 BRL per liter to aviation fuel. Petrobras had previously lifted aviation kerosene prices by 1.9% in August.

Fuel expenses represent roughly 39% of operating costs for airlines in Brazil. Mid-month consumer price index data for September showed that airline ticket prices climbed 9.82%.
