CEO Strauss Zelnick projects full-year revenue of $8 billion to $8.2 billion at the annual meeting
At its annual stockholder meeting on 18 September, Take-Two Interactive Software reaffirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on 19 November for Xbox and PlayStation 5. The title will debut as a single-player game, and the company does not anticipate recurrent consumer spending from the initial release while it continues to support GTA V Online.
CEO Strauss Zelnick said the game will launch localized in 13 languages, including Spanish and Portuguese, with tailored regional marketing. He noted that Grand Theft Auto V has sold more than 230 million units since its 2013 launch, maintaining a top-five sales spot for 13 years. Zelnick added that the PC platform is growing in importance, though release timing on specific platforms depends on audience size.
Zelnick highlighted that Take-Two now holds more than 11 franchises that have each sold over 5 million units in a single release. For the current fiscal year, the publisher is guiding for revenue between $8 billion and $8.2 billion, alongside significant anticipated free cash flow. Zelnick also pointed out that the company's shares have gained roughly 1,200% since current management arrived in March 2007, compared with 440% for the S&P 500 and 980% for the Nasdaq.
During the virtual meeting, shareholders voted on the election of 10 board directors, executive compensation, an amendment to limit officer liability under Delaware law, and the appointment of Ernst & Young as auditor for the fiscal year ending 31 March 2027. Dan Emerson, executive vice president and chief legal officer, confirmed a quorum among the 186.98 million common shares eligible as of the 23 July 2026 record date.
