The new agent-native platform reduces model deployment from 30 days to 7.
Tencent Cloud, the cloud division of Tencent, announced on September 22, 2026, the official launch of Tencent Cloud DataBuddy. The product is a fully managed, agent-native Data + AI workbench. It serves as the company's third assistant-class tool alongside Tencent CodeBuddy and WorkBuddy.
DataBuddy covers four main scenarios: data engineering, data governance, data analytics, and data science. In data science, the platform consolidates data and artificial intelligence on a single foundation, cutting model deployment times from 30 days down to 7.
The platform runs on three foundations: the Unity Semantics layer, an Agent Runtime layer, and OneOps. Unity Semantics delivers 95.9% analysis accuracy, compared with 83.5% for plain Natural Language to SQL. According to Tencent Cloud, these integrated tools provide 5x to 10x efficiency gains across data teams.
Tencent Cloud DataBuddy is currently available in China, Thailand, South Korea, and Indonesia. Rollouts are underway across Europe, North America, and South America.
