Multibrand Outlet Stores published the trademark application for off-price retail
Multibrand Outlet Stores filed an application with the National Institute of Industrial Property in Chile to register Promoda. Promoda is an off-price retail chain that sells clothing, footwear, and accessories from various brands at a discount.
The trademark request was published on September 25, 2026, in Chile's official gazette. It covers commercialisation services as well as the import, export, and representation of products.
The TJX Companies, the US operator of TJ Maxx and Marshalls, owns a 49% stake in Grupo Axo's off-price business, which includes Multibrand Outlet Stores. Promoda operates more than 200 stores in Mexico and does not currently operate under that name in Chile.
Grupo Axo already maintains operations in Chile through its discount chain Surprice. It also acquired Komax in 2023, representing brands including Mammut, GAP, Polo Ralph Lauren, and The North Face in the Chilean market.
