Trane Technologies Expands All-Electric Cold Chain Lineup

Trane Technologies brand Thermo King announced four new all-electric refrigeration models for the Asia Pacific region: the EV500S, EV500e, EV300e and EV200e. The new lineup uses an integrated electric drive system designed to improve operating efficiency across urban cold chain distribution.

The EV500S and EV500e models are designed for urban distribution of fresh produce, e-commerce goods and pharmaceuticals. Meanwhile, the EV200e and EV300e are built for short-haul last-mile delivery connecting cold storage facilities to retail stores.

Compared with first-generation units, the new series improves operating energy efficiency by 8.3%. It features the ARCON intelligent control architecture to maintain temperature stability within plus or minus 0.5 degrees Celsius, along with an economy mode to preserve electric vehicle driving range.

The units also offer the optional iTracKing II telematics system, powered by IP67-rated hardware. The platform allows remote monitoring of location and temperature, as well as two-way remote control to manage settings, start or stop units, and clear alarms.
