The platform offers flow rates up to 3,750 lpm and starts shipping in Q2 2027.
Trane Technologies announced on September 29, 2026, at the Yotta 2026 conference, the launch of its LiquidStack CDU 2.X platform. The architecture-agnostic coolant distribution unit is designed to provide thermal management and deployment flexibility for high-density artificial intelligence infrastructure and hyperscale data centers.
The platform delivers a flow capability of up to 3,750 liters per minute at 3.5 bar, engineered to handle modern graphics processing units alongside next-generation platforms such as NVIDIA Vera Rubin. The system operates with facility inlet temperatures up to 45°C and features an ultra-low-harmonics variable frequency drive architecture to curb harmonic distortion without extra power-quality equipment.
For facility integration, CDU 2.X supports end-of-row and rack-adjacent layouts, dual-feed A/B power configurations, and automatic transfer switch options. The release follows the commercial availability of the LiquidStack GigaModular CDU platform, which offers 14 MW of cooling capacity. LiquidStack CDU 2.X is open for pre-orders immediately, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
