The company introduced four core AI tools while guiding for up to 16.5% revenue growth in the third quarter.
Twilio revealed new updates to its customer engagement platform designed for Latin America on 7 September 2026. The company is deploying four core features to link backend systems, AI agents, and human staff: Agent Connect, Conversation Orchestrator, Conversation Memory, and Conversation Intelligence. The release aims to eliminate communication gaps when consumers shift between different channels and service representatives.
The rollout accompanied Twilio's Customer Insights Series report, which found that nearly all surveyed firms struggle to track changing customer demands and unite data across touchpoints. Management expects third-quarter revenue between $1.505 billion and $1.515 billion, representing year-over-year growth of 16% to 16.5%. Organic revenue is projected to rise 11% to 12%, with adjusted operating income between $285 million and $295 million and adjusted diluted EPS of $1.42 to $1.47.
Twilio faces competition from rivals like Zendesk and Salesforce, alongside cloud providers adding AI orchestration tools. Expanding in Latin America also introduces currency swings, regulatory hurdles, and broader economic volatility. Meanwhile, institutional ownership climbed in the second quarter of 2026, with 72 hedge funds holding shares compared to 64 in the prior quarter according to Insider Monkey. BlackRock remains the top institutional holder with 16.63 million shares or 10.83% of outstanding stock, followed by J.P. Morgan Chase at 7.96% and FMR at 7.34%.
