Uber agrees to acquire ezCater for $2.3 billion in cash
The acquisition expands corporate catering options on Uber Eats.
Uber Technologies announced an agreement on October 6, 2026, to acquire corporate catering platform ezCater in an all-cash deal valued at $2.3 billion.
The transaction brings ezCater into Uber Eats to expand its corporate dining offerings. Over the trailing twelve months, ezCater generated $2.5 billion in gross bookings, with an average order value of $400 across its network of 140,000 restaurant partners.
Uber plans to offer ezCater to its existing corporate customer base. The company currently counts 300,000 corporate clients on its Uber for Business platform.
Shares of Uber rose 0.9% in pre-market trading on October 6, 2026, following the announcement of the acquisition.
