Aeroméxico traffic rises as load factor hits 87.1% in September
Total capacity grew 3.4% while passenger count reached 1.853 million for the month.
Grupo Aeroméxico reported its operational results for September 2026 on October 6, 2026. The airline transported 1 million and 853 thousand passengers during the month, lifting its load factor to 87.1%, which represents an increase of 0.1 percentage points compared with September 2025.
Total capacity, measured in available seat miles (ASMs), rose 3.4% year-over-year. Passenger demand, measured in revenue passenger miles (RPMs), increased 3.6% over the same period.
Our September traffic results reflect the strength of our network and the disciplined execution of our strategy to align capacity with demand. Our continued shift toward key international markets, together with disciplined capacity allocation, supported overall demand growth and the strong performance of our international operations while maintaining healthy load factors, despite the typical seasonal moderation in demand following the peak summer travel period.
CEO Andrés Conesa noted that higher jet fuel prices continue to create a more challenging cost environment than anticipated, while the company remains focused on operational initiatives heading into the final quarter of the year.
