Airbus deliveries rise 9% through August

Airbus delivered 475 commercial aircraft to 83 customers from January through August 2026. That represents a 9% increase compared to the 434 aircraft delivered in the prior-year period. Deliveries of the A320 family rose 11% year-to-date, while deliveries of the wide-body A330 family fell 31% to 11 aircraft.

During August 2026, Airbus handed over 57 aircraft to 31 customers. This monthly total slowed from 67 aircraft in July 2026 and dropped from 61 aircraft in August 2025. The August deliveries included 26 A321neo, 16 A320neo, 10 A220-300, three A350-1000, one A319neo, and one A330-900 jet.

Airbus also booked 67 gross aircraft orders in August 2026. The new commitments included 40 A321neo jets for Shenzhen Airlines, 15 A350-900 jets for Air China, and eight A350F freighters for an undisclosed customer. Year-to-date gross orders reached 1,157 aircraft, while 66 cancellations brought net orders to 1,091 aircraft.

Airbus targets 870 commercial aircraft deliveries for the full year 2026, compared to 793 aircraft delivered in 2025. To meet that annual target, the manufacturer needs to deliver 395 aircraft between September and December 2026.
