Order interest rose after Meta announced its Muse agent in September 2026.
Intel and competing processor suppliers saw stronger artificial intelligence order interest following Meta's Muse agent news in September 2026. Meta's Muse agents are shifting more inference workloads onto general-purpose processors, driving interest in Intel's Xeon and Core Ultra product lines.
Intel's CEO stated that current processor production is meeting only about 50% of customer demand for AI workloads. The tight supply reflects full factories and constrained allocation rather than idle capacity across its manufacturing operations.
Intel designs and manufactures processors in the United States, Ireland, Israel, and other regions. The company and other chipmakers tied to Muse-driven compute requirements signaled growing pressure on production capacity planning across upcoming manufacturing cycles.
Capacity limits could constrain how much of the incoming interest Intel can translate into shipped hardware. Investors are watching for higher reported volumes in the Data Center and AI segments as well as updates on order backlogs.
