AMD and Lenovo expand AI PC portfolio in Brazil

AMD and Lenovo expanded their portfolio of computers equipped with dedicated artificial intelligence features in Brazil on Monday, September 28, 2026. The launch covers consumer laptops, Copilot+ PCs, enterprise desktops, and workstations. According to AMD, running AI directly on the PC lets users complete tasks without an internet connection and keeps data from being sent to the cloud.

In the consumer market, the IdeaPad Slim 3 15AHP10 offers AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS, Ryzen 5 8640HS, Ryzen 7 155, and Ryzen 5 125 chips, delivering up to 16 TOPS of AI capability. It features a 15.3-inch screen, Wi-Fi 6, and a camera of up to 5 MP. The IdeaPad Slim 5 14AKP10 enters the Copilot+ PC category with Ryzen AI 5 330 and Ryzen AI 7 350 chips from the Ryzen AI 300 series. The Ryzen AI 7 350 provides up to 50 TOPS from its dedicated neural processing unit and 66 TOPS across the CPU, GPU, and NPU combined, clearing Microsoft's 40 TOPS requirement for Copilot+ PCs. It features a 14-inch 120 Hz WUXGA display, DDR5 memory, two PCIe SSD slots, Wi-Fi 7, and an infrared FHD camera.

Leandro Lofrano, PCSD 4P director at Lenovo Brazil, stated that the IdeaPad Slim 3 aims to broaden access to AI PCs, while the Slim 5 adds dedicated local processing.

For commercial clients, Lenovo introduced systems tailored to varied computing workloads. The ThinkPad E14, ThinkBook 14 and 16, and ThinkCentre M75S and M75Q desktops use HawkPoint and Phoenix series chips with up to 16 TOPS. The ThinkPad T14 and X13 integrate the Gorgon Point family to deliver up to 50 TOPS in Copilot+ PC setups. In mobile workstations, the ThinkPad P14s and P16s reach up to 86 TOPS under Gorgon Point configurations for creation, CAD, visualization, and generative AI. For heavy desktop workloads such as inference and model fine-tuning, the ThinkStation P4 and P8 towers use AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro processors.
