Shipments rose 11.3% in value and 11.1% in volume from July, boosted by stronger international prices.
Argentine beef export revenue reached $518.4 million in August 2026, with shipments of refrigerated and frozen beef totaling nearly 72,900 tons product weight. Compared to July, export volume grew 11.1% from 65,609 tons to 72,876 tons, while export value increased 11.3% from $465.7 million, according to the Consorcio de Exportadores de Carnes Argentinas (ABC).
Compared with August 2025, exported volumes were up 0.4%, while total revenue climbed 29.1%. The average export price reached $7,114 per ton in August, up 0.2% from July and 28.5% above the $5,537 per ton recorded in August 2025. After touching a low of $3,740 per ton in mid-2024, prices neared $7,300 in May 2026 before stabilizing around $7,100 in August.
Between January and August 2026, Argentina exported 476,700 tons product weight for approximately $3,290.8 million. Compared to the same period in 2025, volume expanded by 5.9%, while foreign currency inflows grew 39.8%.
China remained the leading destination, absorbing 59.1% of August export volumes. Shipments to China included 18,100 tons of bone-in beef and processing bones for $50.5 million, and approximately 25,000 tons of boneless beef for $148.9 million. For boneless frozen beef specifically, the main buyers were China ($148.9 million for 25,000 tons), the United States ($74.6 million for 9,800 tons), and Israel ($49.3 million for 4,100 tons).
Refrigerated beef exports totaled 12,800 tons worth $168.5 million, with an average price above $13,100 per ton. Boneless chilled beef shipments jumped 32% from July and 7.3% year-on-year, driven by Europe, which took 6,300 tons, alongside 3,100 tons sent to Israel and 1,700 tons to Chile.
